monochrome is a small, independent workshop building analogue distortion pedals, based in the ligurian alps, italy, with a restrained approach to sound and design.

the project started from modifying circuits for personal use, to better understand how distortion behaves and how it responds to the player. over time, that focus narrowed to a small range of analogue saturation tools, developed with an emphasis on response and behaviour rather than output or features.

all pedals are built in small batches, with close attention to sound, feel, and restraint, in both circuit and design.

fuzz one is the first release. other pedals are currently in development and will be released over time, following the same approach.
